What's the maximum distance away that I can effectively measure temperature? Given the spot ratio of 10:1, if the distance surface is large enough to (more than) contain the spot, how far away will the measurement be accurate?

Hi Jim, Although we have not tested this before, based off our estimation, you can be at least 20 feet away and likely much further as long as there are no obstructions with the measuring spot which follows the 10:1 spot ratio. We hope this helps!
