Proper application Temperature Measuring Inst
If you buy this device, and use it for its intended purpose, understanding the limitations inherent in the measurement.......it is very useful.
Problem: People unfamiliar with temperature ranges, accuracy and precision and thermal emissivity will use it to detect fever conditions in humans. (CoVid has rendered engineering and science to a secondary role)
Accuracy of +- 3.6degF conflicts with any reasonable measurement of a human skin temperature for diagnostic purposes. (98.6degF - normal, 100degF-mild or incipient fever) A reading between 95 - 102.2 degF is not diagnostic of anything.
Moral of the story: use this device for the correct purpose
